Hmm … been working since 11:00PM last night and finally I had the new module in place in the production server of our client. Basically it’s a new billing module I designed and wrote which would prevent a flaw in the billing system wherein users with not enough funds can send SMS/Email messages using our application. Our application would be integrated to a billing server which handles the transaction charging and prepaid balance check. We would then only allow transactions to be processed if the billing server had billed the user properly, otherwise we would fail the transaction and inform the user to reload his/her balance or funds.
The installation could have been done quickly if not for the problems that occurred on the billing server. For some reasons the billing server failed at around 12 midnight and restarted. It was only around 5:30 AM this morning that we were able to establish a connection from our application server to the billing server. Another problem that caused some delays is communicating with our client’s technical team to restart our application service for the new billing modules to kick-in. Sad to say, it was only around 9:50AM wherein the restart occurred.
I’m still monitoring the service to make sure that no major flaws exists in the system as well as doing some tweaks to accomodate the high traffic caused by zero funded users trying to retry and retry doing transactions. Hopefully, they would realize within the day that their happy days on fraudulent use of the system is over. 
I’m a bit tired but nevertheless, still enjoying my work ..
