I Love My Job

Posted in Daily Living on November 15th, 2008

Just recently while working, I heard Aphilo and the kids playing on the street. At first, I didn’t mind them since I wanted to finish a couple of things with work. But then, when I heard the laughter of the kids and how much they were having fun, I closed my notebook and played with them. While playing with the kids, I can’t help but look above, smile, and thank Him for such a great job I have. At that point wherein most people are tied up in their office for work and some being so stressed out, here I am spending fun and precious moments with my loved ones. What more can I ask for? I’m earning enough for our financial needs and at the same time, I have all the time in the world to spend quality time with my family, no matter what day of the week.

A Gym Come True

Posted in Daily Living on August 17th, 2008

For several years, Aphilo and I had planned to join a fitness club or a gym but never got the chance to actually join one. While we were still both working in the office, we just noticed that instead of starting the day by working at around 6AM and then go home at 5PM, why not just go to a gym for 1-2 hours in the morning before reporting for work. After a bit of Internet searches, I stumbled upon a YouTube like site called “TotLol” or short for Tot Laugh Out Loud. This is basically a site that have a collection of online video clips for kids. Researching more about this site I found a bit of a background here.

I’m thankful to this guy for coming up with a site that I’m sure most parents would love to show their kids. ;)

Missing My Friends

Posted in Daily Living on July 19th, 2008

One thing I really miss ever since I started this work at home stint is being with friends. This is one thing that I am still struggling to get used to right now. I’m still missing that weekend night outs with colleagues, the lunch chit chats, or simply having someone to talk to at work. It’s true that I have my family with me here at home to interact with and being able to work at home had benefited me in terms of spending more quality time with my family, but somehow we still need friends don’t we?

The Only Dad

Posted in Daily Living on April 12th, 2008

For the past few days, I had been accompanying my little Angel to her summer swimming class, and there’s one thing I noticed .. “I’m the only dad.”. Well, it’s not the first time I experienced this but last summer when she took ballet lessons, it’s the same scenario. It’s kinda weird for some people who got used to the norms, but it’s how it is in my situation.
